NEW LIFE TO OLD GREY ARMY STYLE BLANKETS

A few years ago I made this patch wk quilt for my daughter. It is a small knee size rug.I used an old army blanket, school blazer and scrapes of fabric. The blanket had quite a few holes in it so it lent it self to being cut up into squares. I’m working on another one at the moment that will be made out of 4-6 long rectangle squares.how much it needs cutting up depends on how worn the blanket is. The cushion covers were made from left over pieces.

This is a cushion for my niece made a few weeks ago – using up left over bits of fabric and trimmings. I just love it. Saw a recent one down with curtains over the windows!
